West Ann Arbor Health Center

Area: 75,00SF
Year Completed: 2016
Client: Michigan Medicine
Market sector: Healthcare

Ambulatory Care activity within Michigan Medicine has risen steadily over time and is now nearing two million visits per year. In order to improve patient access to ambulatory care services, the health system is both actively improving throughput within existing facilities and seeking to expand its capacity. As part of these efforts, Yellowstone has designed the system’s new health center. Over ten times larger than the current West Ann Arbor Health Center, the new, expanded clinic for primary care will meet increasing demand, improve the patient experience and expand the capacity for the provision of specialty and diagnostic services, including allergy, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology and psychiatry as well as infusion, radiology and diagnostic imaging services.

Located on 14 acres, the facility is laid out to take advantage of the site’s natural features, including a pond and woodlands. In addition, native habitat detention basins will manage stormwater and runoff from the steeply-sloped site. The new facility will also include adequate surface parking adjacent to the existing health center.
