A global technology leader, KLA boasts that virtually no laptop, smartphone, voice-controlled gadget, or smart car would have made it into the market without their work. When their Ann Arbor headquarters needed renovations, we aimed to match KLA’s innovative spirit with our outside-the-box solutions for their changing needs.  

Taking place over multiple phases during which the company actually took early occupancy of the space, the KLA renovations included the development of a cleanroom with a controlled level of contamination (for which we worked with an expert cleanroom contractor), new offices, varying sizes of conference centers, lab spaces, and collaborative areas. One interesting piece of the process was that KLA has grown so rapidly over the past several years that their needs actually evolved throughout the renovation process – specifically, they needed more space, especially for cubicles and offices.  

The second phase of the renovation involved a stylish upgrade that was inspired by KLA’s California roots. An open kitchenette with exposed ceilings, vibrant colors, and large-format graphics added texture to the collaborative spaces. The entire KLA renovation was challenging and one of our team’s favorite projects.
