Yellowstone’s construction team undertook the buildout of Roasting Plant, a coffee shop centered around their beans, freshly roasted in-house. The building, located within a historic district of downtown Ann Arbor, required a substantial amount of renovation to accommodate the roasting infrastructure. The entire first level floor structure was removed, and replaced with a modern structure capable of supporting the increased loads of the needed equipment. Additionally, the lower level was transformed from a storage space, into a finished, inviting space for customers to relax. All work was done in accordance with the historic district’s guidelines, maintaining the historic facade and character of the building.
